My Milk Toof: Our Second Year

It's exciting to be celebrating Year Two of producing this blog- so much has happened! After exactly two years of starting My Milk Toof in March 2009, the official published book is now released- Hooray! In addition, one of the huge highlights for me was the "Your Milk Toof" contest. Getting a chance to see everyone's talent and creativity was fantastic, and I hate to see it end. My plan is to leave the tumblr online as a community fan page which you all can continue to contribute to, whether it be your own Toof characters or just fan art. Please keep it coming- it's so wonderful for me to click on that site and be inspired.

I've said it before, and I can't say it enough- THANK YOU EVERYONE for your endless support and love for ickle and Lardee! Your sweet emails and comments mean the world to me.

Contest Updates

UPDATE 3.6.11- The Your Milk Toof contest is now officially closed! Thank you all so much for your amazing entries- something tells me it will be very difficult for us to select winners. If you've submitted a Toof, please check the tumblr and make sure your image opens. If there is an error, please email me your pictures asap to: mymilktoof@gmail.com

Just wanted to remind everyone that there are only 5 more days to enter the YOUR MILK TOOF contest for a chance to win a signed book. There have been some very impressive submissions so far, and they're all just so inventive. Some have even gone so far as to write some hilarious stories! You can check them out HERE.

A couple quick troubleshooting notes for all submissions:

UPLOADING- You can upload images straight into tumblr. When you click in tumblr "Submit your TOOF!", make sure to change the option that says "Submit a text post" to "Submit a photo".

RESOLUTION- Make sure your image resolution is big enough to read. Once you submit an image, check back to the site when it's posted to make sure the image is clear. If it's not, please resubmit with a higher resolution image.

STORIES- If you plan on submitting a story with multiple images, please upload them in one single submission. DO NOT break up your story into several submissions.

An Update from Inhae

Hello Everyone-I have some exciting announcements to make!

First of all, thank you all so much for your overwhelming enthusiasm for the upcoming My Milk Toof book. Thanks to pre-orders and support from bookstores, the book is already going through a second printing, even before its release!

There are two planned book promotions to look out for in the coming weeks: 1) A creative art contest put on by me and Chronicle Books where you can win a free signed copy of the book, and 2) A special video featuring behind the scenes footage of the making of My Milk Toof. Please stay posted on the blog for details.

Secondly, I've been working on finally creating a separate site for all My Milk Toof merchandise, and it will launch some time in March. For now it will feature a couple new prints along with the previous three featured.
